Motorola Xoom 3G breaking free!

So, to all of you who tired waiting for 3.1 (3.1) updates for their local versions of Xoom or just want to play with custom ROM`s and for other advantages I decided to write this post. Nothing new or unknown but it is simple summary on how to root and clockwork recovery install. As a result you will be able to use ROM manager from Market to update system or use with roms available around. Important! This steps was tested in German T-Online version of Xoom 3G (MZ601) But it suppose to work on any Euro version of Xoom. Caution- US versions not confirmed. The only difference is what bootloader image you need to flash on first step. You are warned! Use this at your own risk ! Warranty void! Step 1 We need to unlock bootloader to be able to root our device. Connect your Xoom to PC using USB cable. Install ADB on your computer if you did it already. Unpack boot.zip (or boot 3.1 if your device have 3.1 firmware) to folder on your disk and open shell : adb rebo
